Prudential Korea Announces $100,000 gift at Wishmaker Conference
Seoul, Korea (October 20, 2008) -- At the 2008 Make-A-Wish Foundation® International Wishmaker Conference, which was held 16-18 October at the Grant Hyatt Seoul, The Prudential Life Insurance of Korea announced a $100,000 gift to the Wish Fund.
Mr. OJ Hwang, Make-A-Wish Korea Board President and CEO of Prudential Korea, kicked off a phenomenal conference with the gift announcement, in which 100% will go directly towards granting more wishes around the world for children living with life-threatening medical conditions.
Make-A-Wish Korea, who has doubled their revenue and wishes in the last two years,
hosted the annual conference which gathered over 70 representatives from Make-A-Wish affiliates to hone their marketing, wish granting and fundraising skills. Make-A-Wish Korea opened the windows to their country’s culture through a variety of live performances including traditional fan dances, drum sessions and a lively martial arts act.
The most anticipated acts of all were the wish child performances. In 2007, 14-year-old Soo Yae Kim wished for a piano, and one year later she shared her talent and the lasting impact of a granted wish with the group during a moving recital.
Special thanks to The Prudential Life Insurance of Korea for their unparalleled commitment to Make-A-Wish Foundation International, Hyatt Hotels and the Board and Staff of Make-A-Wish Korea for making the conference the best to date.
