I wish to meet Jackie Chan
Diagnosed with a brain tumor two years ago, 14-year-old Connor thought long and hard about what his cherished wish would be. Since his family members are great fans of international movie star Jackie Chan, Connor decided that there could be no better person to get up-close and personal with for a meet and greet.

Jackie was at home in Hong Kong fulfilling his Olympic duties as a Goodwill Ambassador, so Connor, his mum Sharon and sisters Heather and Esther hopped on a plane to catch up with the star.

Arriving at Jackie Chan’s office for the meet and greet, the family was surprised to learn that their tour guide for the day was Jackie himself!

Jackie showed them around his office’s ‘Hall of Fame’ before heading to his home where Connor was introduced to Jackie’s pets, dogs Jonesie and JJ and cat Ding Ding. Connor was also given the chance to ride on a Segway for the first time. Although he was a bit shaky at first, with Jackie’s encouragement Connor was soon scooting around Jackie’s private garden like a true professional.

During their trip, the family also had time to enjoy the sites of Hong Kong including Ocean Park, a cruise around Victoria Harbor, and two days at Hong Kong Disneyland.

“Our family was blown away by the whole experience,” said mum Sharon. “It was totally awesome,” she continued, “a big thank you to everybody involved in Connor’s wish.”
