I Wish to Have a Swing 

For Nina, telling volunteers from Make-A-Wish^® Austria about her biggest wish was impossible. Although she couldn’t say it, the thing Nina loves most is a good swing. It was easy to see, for both her mother and volunteers.

Since there isn’t really anywhere Nina can safely swing alone in her neighborhood, wish granters decided to set up a “nest swing” for her, right in her backyard. On one sunny spring day they bought the swing and built it in Nina’s yard. Nina stayed home from school, on her wish day just to watch the swing go up, and give it a first try.

It took a few hours to have the swing ready, but once it was up Nina and her mother were ecstatic. Now every day they can have a swinging-good time.
