At Make-A-Wish International, we are dedicated to creating a sustainable future for our wish children. Operating in nearly 50 countries and territories, we understand the significant impact we can have on the environment, society, and the needs of present and future generations. Our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) priorities are aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were adopted in 2015 to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and prosperity for all by 2030.

Our Key Commitments:

1. Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3): We focus on enhancing well-being through Positive Psychology, promoting good health for our beneficiaries, stakeholders, and staff. Our initiatives aim to support physical and emotional healing, providing hope, strength, and joy to children facing critical illnesses.
2. Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12): We integrate sustainability and ethical criteria into our procurement processes. Our office in Hilversum, the Netherlands, has implemented a recycling scheme and encourages paperless work to reduce our environmental footprint.
3. Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG 16): We strive to be an effective, accountable, and inclusive organization. Our policies, including our Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy, and our vision for diversity, equity, and inclusion, guide our efforts to promote peace and justice.
4. Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17): We secure financial resources through grants, donations, and partnerships to support our network of Affiliates. We also focus on capability building and technology innovation to drive digital transformation responsibly.
