I wish to be a flight attendant
Shahira, 7, Indonesia
Shahira has been living with thalassemia since she was just over a year old, undergoing blood transfusions every three weeks. Through it all, she faced each day with a quiet courage and a heart full of big dreams.
The biggest of those dreams? To become a flight attendant. To travel the world and meet people from every corner of it. This was a dream she held onto tightly, even though she had never visited an airport or set foot on a plane.
When her wish came to life, Shahira was welcomed by flight attendants, fitted in a special uniform, and trained in safety demonstrations. She made an in-flight announcement, blew out candles at the flight attendant and pilot base, and received a miniature airplane to take home as a keepsake.
For Shahira, this was more than just role-playing. It was an experience filled with joy and hope, shared with her parents who have walked every step of this journey alongside her. This wish was a reminder that she can soar as high as she dreams, no matter what life puts in her way.
