João Artur is a charming young boy with a passion for dinosaurs and a smile that lights up every room.

He lives with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a rare genetic disorder that causes progressive muscle weakness. Despite the challenges it brings, João continues to spread joy and curiosity wherever he goes.

His greatest wish? To embark on an adventure at Jurassic Adventure Park in Balneário Camboriú, a coastal city in southern Brazil – a place where he could immerse himself in the world of his favorite prehistoric giants.

Make-A-Wish Brazil stepped in to make this dream come true. It all began with a magical Wish Box, filled with thoughtful gifts and heartfelt messages from his wish granters to help him prepare for the journey. Then came the official invitation to set off on his incredible adventure.

João experienced his first-ever flight, dined with superheroes, explored the dinosaur park like a true adventurer for three unforgettable days, and even enjoyed a sunny day at the beach.

His wish granters went above and beyond to make João’s experience truly magical. We hope the memory of his wish continues to bring João and his family strength, joy, and hope for the future.
