I wish to go on a Road Trip to Scotland

At just eight years old, Keoni lives with pulmonary hypertension, a serious condition that makes heat very difficult for him to tolerate. His greatest wish was to experience a road trip to Scotland with his family — a land whose cooler climate and breathtaking landscapes had captured his imagination. To make this Scottish adventure possible, Keoni’s wish granters reached out to colleagues at in the UK, taking advantage of the global Make-A-Wish network that connects teams around the world.

With a Volkswagen bus, the family set off on a unique journey together, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Keoni loved the sounds and movements of the car and cherished every moment spent traveling with his loved ones.

The highlight of the trip was a walk on the beach. With the help of a special wheelchair, Keoni was able to reach the shore and listen to the crashing waves — his favorite sound. His sisters played joyfully in the water and were thrilled to spot dolphins along the coast.

The family explored the coastline several times, visited a flower garden, wandered through the city of Aberdeen, and even traveled north to Peterhead.

For Keoni and his family, this was more than just a trip — it was a life-changing experience filled with love, laughter and unforgettable memories. “We are deeply grateful that we could create such wonderful memories with all our children,” shared Keoni’s family.
