As a global charity helping thousands of children in nearly 50 countries worldwide, we are aware of the impact our organization can have on the environment, on society and the needs of present and future generations. We are committed to a more sustainable world for our wish children.
Our Environmental, Social and Governance priorities are detailed below, based on the Sustainable Development Goals created by the United Nations. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
Make-A-Wish International is committed to responsible consumption and production. We integrate sustainability and ethical criteria into our procurement processes. Our office in Hilversum, the Netherlands, has implemented a recycling scheme, and we are encouraging paperless work for all employees.
SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
Make-A-Wish International aims to be an effective, accountable and inclusive organization at all levels. Policies and strategies implemented to achieve that include our Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy, our vision for diversity, equity and inclusion and our strategy for geographic expansion.
SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
Make-A-Wish International is strongly aligned to the SDG Goal 17 through our efforts in resource mobilization, capability building, and technology innovation. We secure financial resources via grants, donations, and partnerships to support our network of Affiliates and Licensed Territories, as well as build tools, trainings to empower them and develop capacities and best practices. Additionally, we promote access to sustainable technology, driving digital transformation with a responsible use of advanced technology tools.
