I wish to build sandcastles on the beach

Thalisson on the beach with wish identifier

Thalisson is a shy little boy from west-central Brazil who, during his treatment for lymphoma, met his friend Gui, who one day went to the beach with his family and came back very happy and full of stories to tell. From then on, Thalisson began to imagine how incredible it would be to go to the beach, see the ocean and play with the sand, and that he would return as happy as his best friend. So, when he met with Make-A-Wish, there was no doubt in his mind as to what his wish would be!

After arriving at Santos by plane, it wasn’t long before Thalisson bounded onto the sand for the first time and couldn’t hide his happiness! Volunteers were waiting for our little dreamer for a super surf lesson! And while Thalisson was exploring the sea for the first time, a professional sand sculptor was nearby sculpting the base of Thalisson’s sandcastle.

So when the surf lesson ended, he joined the sand sculptor to build his castle, using his imagination to craft every detail. After taking many pictures, Thalisson played ball on the beach, made new friends, ate ice cream and drank coconut water.

On his trip back home, we are certain that he took not only the gifts but, mainly, many memories; memories and smiles of unforgettable moments that are now engraved in his heart.

There is no limit to the hope a wish can bring. But we need your help to continue making wishes come true for children like Thalisson. Please donate today.
