I wish to play all the time

Layan is a bright and bubbly 6-year old living with congenital lipodystrophy. Despite the challenges of her condition, her energy and imagination know no limits. Her favorite place to play is her home balcony, where she spends hours having fun with her cousins. More than anything, Layan’s greatest wish was to play all the time. So she shared with the Make-A-Wish UAE team her idea to turn the balcony into a play area.
To help design it, she carefully picked out all her favorite toys. Then came a special day filled with cakes, balloons, friends, family and the Make-A-Wish team, all there to celebrate Layan. She was dressed up as a princess, beaming as a huge box filled with toys was revealed—her very own treasures for her new play area.
Then came the best part. Layan went home and saw her transformed balcony for the first time. The walls were painted in colorful murals, grass covered the floor, and the space was filled with all her chosen toys—a magical wonderland just for her. Her eyes lit up as she immediately started playing, her laughter echoing through the house and filling everyone with joy.
