I wish to be an army officer

Wish child Samuel poses in his army uniform

Samuel is a 12-year-old boy who was diagnosed with bone cancer. His greatest wish was to become an officer in the Colombian army. Samuel had a day full of joy and meaning as he got to don his own military uniform, meet some of the troops and get to witness various drills and training exercises up close. We hope Samuel’s wish inspires him to look to the future and helps him cope on his treatment journey.

Wishes like this can bring hope to children like Samuel. But we need your help to keep granting them. Did you know? Make-A-Wish International is a 501(c)(3) registered charity exempt from federal income tax. So if you are based in the U.S. your donation is tax-deductible.

This Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we need you to help us make every wish come true, just like Samuel’s.
