I wish to have a telescope

Wish child Vedant in his hospital bed holding his new telescope

Nine-year-old Vedant from India is undergoing treatment for Hodgkin lymphoma, which has meant long hospital stays and missing school. Vedant wants to be a scientist when he grows up so he was particularly missing his science class. Vedant is extremely curious about knowing and studying about the sky. When asked about his innermost wish, he did not think too hard. He immediately said his wish was to have a telescope.

When he received his wish – the telescope, he was thrilled; his eyes and heart were full of joy! This telescope has made it possible for Vedant to pursue his dream and explore the universe right from his window. Vedant told us, “this telescope will be the gateway to view my dreams and as a stepping stone for my ambition.” Vedant’s parents shared that Vedant spends lots of time using his telescope and loves to look at the moon. He even carries the telescope with him wherever he goes!

Your support can help grant wishes to more children like Vedant, who are facing critical illness.
